Hamoody received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction, before later earning his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of British Columbia. During law school, Hamoody was an active member of UBC’s Law Students Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), offering free legal advice across civil, estate and criminal matters to low-income members of the local community. During his final year of study, he completed a two-term exchange at the National University of Singapore.
